Guitar/Ukulele/Bass Lessons

wil_guitarHi, I’m Wil Forbis, a G.I.T. (Guitar Institute of Technology) graduate with 25+ years of experience playing and recording music in a variety of styles. I have a strong command of music theory and playing techniques combined with a genuine love and fascination for music across genres.

I’m a patient teacher interested in teaching students the music and techniques they want to learn. (I won’t have you practicing “Three Blind Mice” if you have no interest in it.) I help students meet short term playing objectives with an eye towards steady, long term improvement.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Rhythm Playing/Chords
  • Lead Playing/Melodies
  • Rock/Jazz/Blues Improvisation
  • Songwriting/Composing
  • Music Theory
  • Fingerpicking
  • Playing and Singing together

I offer 30 minute lessons for $25 or one hour lessons for $50. I also have an introductory “four lessons for the price of three” package. Usually lessons are at my home studio in the Hillcrest/University Heights area but I’m open to traveling.
